The End of Bauers on Main Street

Several sources have now confirmed to us that the Bauers Grocery Store on Main Street has closed for good. Earlier reports suggested it was closing for renovation and improvements.

Navil Manzur purchased Bauers in 2010 and made numerous improvements to the store with high hopes of being a long term central business in Lapel.

We hope that should the property be sold another grocery chain such as Harvest Market could step in and run a successful store.

We were unable to contact Mr Manzur for comment on this sorry chain of events.
