A 2 vehicle accident near Rickers on SR32 led to one lane being closed for a short period of time around 4pm Friday afternoon.

The Town of Lapel discovered this week that the property tax settlement they should receive as indicated by the State of Indiana of $189,267 would not be received in its entirety. Instead the Town received $157,530 which amounts to a $30,000 (17%) shortfall.
